Then to now…
Musical Journey
I wasn’t always a guitarist. In fact, my musical journey started with a bit of a twist. Picture this: second grade, my very first violin lesson. I was beyond excited to make beautiful music… until I was kicked out just five minutes in for not holding the violin correctly (apparently, there’s a right way to do it!). Let’s just say, the music world showed me no mercy.
But that’s okay! Because I quickly realized that the musical ability I had was still very much alive in me. How do I know this? Well, fast forward to the summer of 2010—while guitar hadn’t yet called my name, I was playing the melody of songs like “Halfway There” by Big Time Rush (today’s kids will never know) on the keyboard. Keep in mind, this was all self-taught. The only formal music lesson I had was that brief violin encounter back in second grade—truly a contender for the Guinness Book of World Records as the shortest violin lesson ever.
What does all of this mean? It means that sometimes, it’s not about getting it perfect right away. It’s about finding the right instrument, the right sound, and the right fit. And that’s exactly what I bring to my work as a wedding guitarist. My goal is to make sure that the music we choose resonates with your vision, creating the perfect soundtrack to your special day—just as it was always meant to be.
